Handwritten math tutor

Write the work. Get help where it changes.

Amend follows the equations, diagrams, and intermediate steps on your whiteboard. When you get stuck, it can respond to the work already in front of you instead of making you translate math into a chat prompt.

A step, not a screenshot

The reasoning stays visible.

A final answer hides how a student got there. Intermediate work can show whether the problem is a missing rule, a sign error, or simply an ambiguous mark that needs clarification.

Example whiteboard moment

y = (x² + 1)³

dy/dx = 3(x² + 1)²

Useful feedback

You applied the outer power rule. What is the derivative of the inner expression, x² + 1?

Designed around active practice

Help that keeps you inside the problem.

Keep the context

Problems, diagrams, and prior steps remain together on the same whiteboard.

Ask naturally

Speak a question without retyping equations or describing every line.

Continue yourself

Use a question, hint, or correction to make the next written move.

Where handwriting matters

From algebra lines to physics diagrams.

Algebra

Equations, functions, factoring, and symbolic steps

Calculus

Limits, derivatives, integrals, and series

Physics

Diagrams, formulas, units, and calculations

More STEM

Common questions

Handwritten tutoring, clearly answered.

Can AI read handwritten math?

Yes. AI can interpret handwritten math when the writing and intermediate steps are visible, but ambiguous marks can still be misread. Amend uses the full whiteboard context and is designed to ask for clarification when the evidence is unclear.

Can a handwritten math tutor find the first wrong step?

That is Amend's goal: respond to the student's visible reasoning and identify the earliest supported issue instead of judging only the final answer. Handwriting and AI interpretation can still be wrong, so important results should be checked.

Which subjects does Amend support?

Amend supports algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, physics, and chemistry for learners age 13 and older through college STEM study.

Do I need to photograph or type my homework?

No. Write directly on Amend's whiteboard on iPhone or iPad. You can also ask questions out loud while the written work remains visible as context.
